I really like this media player.
I recently bought a TVIX M-4100SH, having had a bad experience with a D-Link Media Theatre (it was pretty naff, sorry).
The TVIX M-4100SH has two USB ports, a LAN port, component and composite connectors, and I currently have it connected to my TV thru it's HDMI connector.
I keep finding more nice things about this. It can play directly from ISO images of DVDs... so I have a 250gb USB drive plugged into it at the moment, with about 30 ISOs on. Not only that but if you put JPGs in the same folder with the same names as the ISOs, you get a nice icon view of all your movies, as shown!
You can also stream from your network using either SMB or NFS, but since my laptop is connected via Wireless (i.e. slow), and that's where all the files are... I didn't even bother trying it. I just put the ISOs on a little usb drive, then transfer them to the main one on the TVIX box itself.
It also does a nice photo slideshow (yeah, that works fine over the network) and can play MP3s, during the slideshow or 'stand-alone'.
So, very pleased with it - it's a very nice piece of kit.
Perhaps I should tidy up some of those cables though ;o)
